Have you ever always known you wanted to do something?
Since I was younger, I knew I wanted to run my own small business one day. I was always crafty and loved making art, but I was fascinated with people who made their hobby in to their own business. I remember reading about people who had their own business online or out of doing what they loved.
Let me tell you something personal.
One day in college, I was feeling bored and overwhelmed. I started making crafts with tutorials I found through websites. Even though I loved art, I had not made that much of my own art in a while and it felt exciting and fun to make my own creations. That’s when I knew I wanted to start my own business online. I opened my shop, Move the Needle, on Etsy selling handcrafted paper items like journals and greeting cards.
My Thread of Thought was born shortly after.
My Thread of Thought launched in 2008 as a way to promote my Etsy shop. I saw other Etsy shop owners had blogs and I thought it was a good idea to have a place to write about my experiences with my business. My Thread of Thought is place for me to explore and share ideas. I blog about everything from crafts to business tips to my personal life.Hi, my name is Anna.
I am a blogger, crafter and virtual assistant. I love working with paper, cooking vegan food and finding new ways to make money online. I currently live in Chicago, but I love exploring new places.
